Katharine McWilliam Obituary

Katharine McWilliam WEYMOUTH Katharine (Turner) McWilliam, 104, of Weymouth, died on Saturday October 18th at the Weymouth Health Care Center in Weymouth. She was born in 1904 at Jacobs Farm in the Assinippi section of Norwell. She was the daughter of the late George and Mercy (Brown) Turner. She is described by her family as a fun loving, caring, and upbeat person who was forever young. Her secret to long life was candy, and Turner cussedness.. Mrs. McWilliam was also a life long sports fan avidly following Celtics and Red Sox having been proud to have cheered for 3 winning world series teams. Katharine was a member of the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association, the Retired County and State Municipal Teachers Association, as well as a member of the Wessagussett Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Katharine was a member of the Old South Union Church in Weymouth, and taught Sunday school there for many years. Katharine is survived by her daughters Wendy R. Denneen of NH, and Nancy T. Cooper of AZ. Grandmother of Matthew Denneen of NH, Susan Dusch of CA, Derek Litchfield of AZ, and Darrell Litchfield of AZ. Dear Wendy & Nancy
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I am so glad I had the good fortune to have been able to talk to her on the phone. What a delightful mother you both had. May many happy memories help you through the days ahead.

I work as Nursing Assistant at Weymouth Healthcare and met Katharine when she first came to our facility. As an avid Red Sox fan myself, I often enjoyed talking up baseball with her. She was indeed a pleasure to meet and an honor to get to know. I will miss her personality. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Dear Wendy,

Let me first extend my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your mother.

I enjoyed reading about her long and rich life and as you know, I recently bought her quiet house.

I want you to know how much I absolutely love this home! It has such a wonderful feeling to it; it's warm, loving and peaceful and right now, incredibly colorful with the blanket of red, gold and orange leaves in the front yard. On these sunny autumn days, it's just a spectacular spot!

My friends and family who visit all comment on what a great vibe the house has. I feel blessed when I think of the history of this home and the lovely person who lived here and led such a vibrant and rewarding life.
