Murray Franklin Obituary

CANTON Murray Franklin of Canton entered into rest on October 25, 2008. Beloved husband of Lillian (Schwartz) Franklin. Devoted father of Robin Sebastian and her husband Robert G. of Framingham and Dean Franklin and his wife Mary Frances Holmes of Tampa, FL. Loving brother of the late Eleanor Derman. Dear grandfather of Darren, Amanda, Hudson and Parker and great-grandfather of Talya, Zachariah and Moriah. During WW2 Murray served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp, specializing in cryptography. Upon discharge he started his own company, Trade Comp Inc., typesetting, photo service and type foundry. He was elected president of the International Typographic Composition Association67 and was awarded the Benjamin Franklin Man of The Year. He was a member of the Stoughton Masons Cosmopolitan Lodge, the Aleppo Temple Shriners, the Jewish War Veterans Post 193 in Quincy, Charter member of Temple Beth El, Quincy and member of Beth Israel synagogue. Graveside services were held at Sharon Memorial Park, SHARON, on Sunday, October 26. Memorial observance at the home of Robin & Robertr G. Sebastian following interment through Wednesday at sundown.
