Eleanor Leary Obituary

WEYMOUTH Eleanor H. (DiGiulio) Leary, passed away at the Queen Ann Nursing Home in Hingham on Sunday, October 26 at the age of 82. Mrs. Leary was the loving wife of the late James A. Leary. She is survived by her devoted children Paula Pearson of S. Weymouth, Patrick Leary of Whitman, Martha Merten of Henderson, NV, Matthew Leary of Quincy, Timothy Leary of Pembroke and Christine Philips of Abington; her sisters Virginia Merluzzo, Alice Jacobson and Louise Knowles, all of Weymouth. Eleanor is predeceased by her son Richard Leary of Hull. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Leary was born and grew up in Quincy and has lived in North Weymouth for the last 57 years. She and her husband were former members of the Gingham Swingers Square Dance Group on the South Shore and loved traveling in the United States. Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Mass at the St. Jeromes Church, 632 Bridge St., N. Weymouth on Wednesday October 29 at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Eleanors memory to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements made with the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), S. Weymouth. If you would like to leave a message for the Learys please visit www.ccshepherd.com.
