Madeline Christie Obituary

WEYMOUTH Madeline B. (Maxwell) Christie, age 94, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the South Shore Hospital. Mrs. Christie was the wife of the late Earl M. Christie, who was the former owner of Grono and Christie Jewelers in Milton. The beloved mother of Lucille M. Olson and her husband Robert C. Olson of S. Weymouth and the loving grandmother of Glenn Olson and his wife Cyndi, Donald Olson and his wife Meredith and Douglas Olson. She also leaves 4 great-grandchildren. Madeline was born and grew up in Orient, Maine and lived in Weymouth for the last 47 years. She was a past member of the Weymouth Garden Club. Relatives and friends are invited to the visiting hours at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St., (Columbian Square), S. Weymouth on Saturday, November 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. and the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Madeline's memory to the South Shore V.N.A., 100 Bay State Drive, Braintree, MA 02185-9060 or the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, 48 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02116-4718.
