Lucy Flaherty Obituary

WEYMOUTH Lucy M. (MacGachen) Flaherty of Weymouth died Thursday Nov. 5, 2008 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing Home in Franklin. She was 86 years of age. She enjoyed oil painting and decorative arts and crafts. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed Boston College Football and traveling. Late member of the Catholic Charitable P.M. Club in Weymouth and St. Francis Xavier Church Catholic Club and Sodality. Late member of The Weymouth Club where she participated in water aerobics every morning. She also wintered in Highland Beach, Florida every year. She attended Cornell University and Burdett College. Beloved wife of the late John F. Flaherty. Devoted mother of Suzanne Sargeant of Franklin, John M. Flaherty and the late Anne Marie Allman of Brighton. Sister of the late Esther Quisenbery and Caroline L. Burgess. Loving grandmother of Robert Allman, Kristin and Michael Flaherty and Sarah, Kimberly and Jake Sargeant. Funeral from McDonald Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital) Monday at 9:00 A.M., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth at 10:00 oclock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 3:00 7:00 P.M. Interment, V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne.
