Frances Carew Obituary

WEYMOUTH Frances V. (McLaughlin) Carew, age 84 , after a brief illness on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Mrs Carew was born and raised in Reading and has lived in Weymouth for 50 years. A former parishioner of the Sacred Heart Church, Fran was a member of the choir, the Ladies Sodality, and was president of the mother's club. She volunteered at St. Coletta's School in Braintree as a C.C.D. Teacher. Beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Carew. Devoted mother of Thomas M. of Chelsea, Alabama,Mrs. Mary Carew Campbell of Weymouth, James A. of Concord, N.H., Doctor Joseph F. of Hingham and the late Jane F. Carew. Beloved mother-in-law of Susan, Frank, Pat and Patty. Beloved sister of the late Andrew J. McLaughlin. Also survived by 10 grandchildren. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Thursday, December 11 at 8:30 Am. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church Weymouth at 9:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to: Cycle for Life C/o N.E.M.C.- Childrens Cancer Center 750 Washington st. Boston, Ma 02111.
