We were extremely saddened to hear of Billy's sudden death. What a shock. Recently we were talking with him about his plans to get a boat and cruise the Bahamas with Janette. He was always very thorough and had lots of questions. We thought he sounded extremely excited about getting on the water again. We were so happy for him in this new Passage of his life. He deserved it.

We first met him at the Port Norfolk Yacht Club in Dorchester, MA. Our initial bond was the Frankie Lane songs - his boat was "Jezebel" and ours "Mariah."

On our first year cruising he invited us to stay at his dock in FL while we made installations prior to going to the Bahamas. He was a wonderful host and could not have been more generous. We were there for a month. Even after we left, he tracked us down in St. Augustine. One more story, one more goodbye.

May he rest in peace.

We are saddened with the loss of our cousin, William Connell. We have fond memories of our youth, times at the Cape and with Billie and Elaine when they were courting and later at their home in JACKSONVILLE. May you, his family, be comforted by your memories of your older brother and uncle to your children. I will always cherish that BIG HEARTY LAUGH!!

Much love, Cousin Lorna and Walter/ME
