Doris Masone Obituary

SO. BOSTON Life long resident of So. Boston, passed away at her home unexpectedly August 20, 2009 at the age of 80. Daughter of the late John and Jennie (Savini) Masone. Beloved sister of Anna Mary Cammarata of Randolph, John Masone and his wife Doris of Westwood and the late Ernestine Billie Masone. Dear Aunt of Richard Cammarata of Randolph, Ann Marie Bruno and husband James of Clearwater, FL, and Michael Masone of New York City, NY. She will be remembered fondly as Auntie Bucky by her many nieces and nephews and extended family. Doris was born in So. Boston where she grew up and was a graduate of So. Boston High. She was a retired AT&T and New England Telephone employee for many years. She also was an usher in Boston's theater district for over 50 years. She had worked mainly at the Wilbur and old Plymouth Theaters, as well as the Colonial and Shubert Theaters. Bucky loved to travel and has been to Europe many times, once flying there from NY on the Concorde. She also had a life long passion for the Stock Market as well as Politics and assisted on many campaigns of Bostons political elite. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph until 9:00 a.m. Monday, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernadette's Church, Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. My deepest sympathy to the Masone family on the lost Bucky, as I knew her. It was a pleasure knowing and playing with her as one of the poker girls for many, many years..She was a good hearted person with a great sense of humor. She will be solely missed by me...
