Elsie O'Donnell Obituary

Elsie T O'Donnell Hanson â€" Elsie T. (Sauer) O'Donnell, of Hanson, formerly of Fort Pierce, Fla., died on Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at the Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center in Norwell. She was 94 years old. She was born in Kingston, daughter of the late Jacob and Barbara (Bechtel) Sauer. She was a graduate of Kingston schools. She worked for Paula Silk Co., in Rhode Island and was the proprietor of "Elsie's Restaurant" in Weymouth during the 1960s. She enjoyed crocheting and was a Boston Red Sox and NASCAR fan. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. O'Donnell; loving mother of Julia Phillips and her husband Edward of Hanson; beloved grandmother of Tracy Phillips of Carver, Lisa Orrall of Hanson, Edward Phillips Jr. of Hanson and Kimberly L'Italien of East Bridgewater. Also survived by three great-grandchildren. Calling hours in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (at Rte. 58), Hanson, on Monday, Oct. 1, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
