Edward Dunham Obituary

Edward J Dunham PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL â€" Edward J. Dunham, age 67, formerly of Bedford, NH and Quincy, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at home after a long illness. He has lived in Ponte Vedra Beach for three years, previously in Bedford, NH. He was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Scituate and Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1958. He was also a graduate of Boston University, Class of 1967. Mr. Dunham served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was an FBI agent for over twenty years and has been retired several years. He was an avid golfer and loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Mr. Dunham was a member of the Quincy Lodge of Elks. Husband of Karla J. (Robinson) Dunham of FL and the late Mary (Hake) Dunham. Father of Derek Dunham and Danielle Dunham, both of Jacksonville, FL. Graveside Services will be conducted at Mount Wollaston Cemetery, 20 Sea St., Quincy, on Saturday, October 6 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy, on Friday, October 5 from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Dunham's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02301.

Barbara and I express our deepest sympathy to you on the lost of such a fine man as Ed was. Our friendship was over a small span of time, but our love and feelings for you and Ed grew deep. As always be stong and know we are with you and will pray for Ed and always remember him. We love you both.

Mr. Dunham,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice for our Country-first when you served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and secondly when you served as a Special Agent with the FBI. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
