Richard James Davis

BRAINTREE Richard James Davis, 55 years of age, of Westwood, formerly of Braintree, died at his home on Sunday, May 18, 2008. He was born in Boston and received his education at St. Mary's Grammar School in Quincy, Xaverian High School in Westwood, Wentworth Institute in Boston, and at Manhattan College in New York. He received a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. By occupation he was a software engineer in the technology industry. He was a vociferous reader and had traveled throughout the world. He was a member and former High Chief Ranger with the Catholic Order of Foresters and had been a member of several committees with the Order of Foresters. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. He was the son of the late James Michael Davis and Virginia (Mackie) Davis. Richard is survived by many cousins. Funeral from the Mortimer N. Peck Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE, on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at 9:30am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, SOUTH BRAINTREE SQUARE, at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday evening from 7-9pm at the Mortimer N. Peck Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE.
