Dan Tarpey will be missed by many. We enjoyed his company on several trips to Ireland including our son, Declan's wedding. He also celebrated the millenium "2000" with us in Ardmore, Co. Waterford. I'll never forget all of us standing on a windswept hill in front of a big bonfire toasting the New Year as fireworks from the seaside village below soared into the sky.
Sleep well, Dan.

Our dear friend,Daniel Francis Xavier Tarpey was given an outstanding tribute and outpouring of love from hundreds of friends and family on Tuesday,February, 6,2008.A tribute richly deserved.
Knowing Dan for over 60 years starting as a classmate at St.Michael's College ,a teacher-coach, and an entrepreneur
personified,it is no wonder that such an outpouring occurred.
All of Dan's family should be proud to know the Wake, the Mass ,the Interment, and the Reception were all of a very high class affair.....

Dan,
I have known you as Uncle Dan all my life. Technically, my Grandpa, Michael Tarpey, and your Dad were brothers. I'm just thankful we share the bloodline. As a matter of fact, I am extremely proud of this. Thank you for alway's treating me as an important person on this earth. Whenever we met at family functions, I always felt a little stonger after speaking and being with you. There is a quality about you that few are blessed with. I thank God that I know you and I believe he set it that way. You made the footprint God expected you to. He led my Uncle Fred on the same path.
I will alway's remember you,
Ed Grant

Dear Tarpey Family and Della,
We will be forever grateful to be able to say that we called Dan Tarpey our friend. Larry called him " Big Dan " and I referred to him as my wild colonial boy, Danny Boy. To the Tarpey Family,
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. "Coach Tarpey" was an inspiration to me and, I'm sure, to the many Townies that swam and dived on his teams at English High during the 60's and 70's. His mentorship, personal guidance and great sense of humor sustained me through my years at English High and I am thankful to have known such a great man and educator.

Dan and I were neighbors at the "Milton Hilton." He was a gentleman and a great friend. Occasionally we would see each other at the "Pub." Even when he was sick he never complained and was always upbeat.
Sleep well my friend, God bless.
