Mertina Ostrander Obituary
96, of 11 Miller St., Big Flats, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008, at her home. She was born May 5, 1911 in Wayne, NY, the daughter of Encoh and Abe Hall Hiney. She was a retiree of the Eclipse Company of Elmira Heights with 35 years of service. Surviving are her daughter, Jean Sabatini of Big Flats; sister, Alice Belcher of Canandaigua; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George R. Ostrander in 1962 and son, George Robert Ostrander in 1995, sisters, Lucille Dondiego, Onalee Margeson and Bertha Watson. Services and Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the LaMarche Funeral Home of Hammondsport.
