Dear Nina, Andrea & Floyd,
I have always had fond memories of Wayne visiting in Alaska. I remember the Caribou hunting trip when he took Josh along w/ the men of the family. Then at the BBQ he reenacted Joshua's first Caribou kill. He made Josh so proud of himself that day & I thought, what a great Dad he must be! At Floyd & Andrea's wedding he was just a joy to be around the way he teased Andi about her LOW cut gown & took pics of her cleavage. He was so much fun. I cannot imagine the pain of losing someone so dear. My heart, my thoughts, my prayers go out to the entire Sheesley family, but especially to you, Nina. I know you are a strong woman & will come through this w/ grace & courage.

Dear Nina,
There is not much a person can say after such a Lost. I can only tell you the Friends you and Wayne have gained are praying and will do anything they can to do help you through this emotional moment of your Life. I also want you to know that through this time and down the path of our journey, If you or your Family needs something please do not hestitate to ask.

I know you and your Family have the fondest memories of Wayne and they will never be forgotten. I remember the first time I met him and he just rode 7000 miles on Floyds motorcycle to Fairbanks. That in self would tell anyone what kind of Man and Father Wayne Sheelsey was. I enjoyed his spark of Life and his Love for his Family. I know he is MISSED but he Never will be Forgotten.

LOVE YOU Nina and Family

Miss Nina,
One of my favorite memories is going to New York for the first time and sitting on your back porch eating fried chicken, watching the kids throw dirt clumps at each other in the yard. Wayne didn't waste a minute in his genuine "Are you gonna finish those?" shaking his finger in the general direction of my food. haha Ahh, the country. The both of you were so kind as to not only welcome me with open arms into your house, but make me feel like I was part of the family. You both have always been so sweet and caring and I have literally loved you since the first time I met you. I hope I can make it up there to visit again soon, my only regret is that I didn't get the chance to visit again with Wayne being there.
But he is always in my heart, as are you. Thank you for being so inviting to me! I have some good memories to hold on to from Texas Hold Em to swimming with the catfish! haha I have you to thank for that.
Your in my thoughts, Nina! Take Care.

Wayne, you are in my heart. I wish we had more time to get to know each other better - 14 years doesn't seem long enough. Iverson and Zofia will miss out on time with their Grandpa but we have many fun memories to carry us through until we see you again. I love you, Old Man.

Southern Tier Loses Big Outdoors Advocate: I was saddened recently to learn of the sudden death of Wayne Sheesley, longtime president of the Chemung County Rod and Gun Club near Breesport, and a tireless advocate for sportsmen's issues. Sheelsey, 65, died July 1 after an accident. Sheesley was typically involved in an outdoor activity, working on his hunting camp, when he fell off a ladder and suffered a head injury, according to longtime friend Marc Whitney.
Sheesley was a devoted outdoorsman and his death came as a real shock, said Whitney, who succeeded Sheesley as president of the Chemung County Rod and Gun Club earlier this year.
"Wayne was the president for 10 years and was very active in all its affairs for many years prior to that," Whitney said. "He had retired from his septic business a couple of years back. He and his wife spent a lot of time traveling. I was on a buffalo hunting trip with him 2 years ago, and we just came back from a trip to Alaska in May.
"He loved his outdoor activities. He was very active in the Friends of the NRA and also in the federation(Chemung County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs)," he said. "He was a friend to an awful lot of people and so involved in the outdoors in Chemung County and the state. He was always looking out for the sportsman."

Nina, Dale, Floyd so sorry for your loss and hope that the memories of the past keep you strong. I know your loss cannot compare to mine as his friend, but one of mine and Wayne's best memories is of our trip to Alaska where we watched our three son's live out a dream hunt. You could see the pride in him when both his son's got their caribou, and the same look when my son did the same. Proud father, good man, and a friend. I will never forget the things he let me share with him over the years, I thank him for the chance to be his friend.

Wayne and Nina were the first of Todd's family that I got to meet after marrying Todd 18 years ago. They picked us up at the airport when we arrived from Germany. I remember this bear of a man that pulled me into his arms to welcome me into the family. Over the years both Wayne and Nina have been there for Todd and I, especially after we had lost our house to a fire. You will be forever in our hearts. You were more of an Uncle to me than my Uncles in Germany. I will never forget the good times in the past and the ones yet to come. Give our love to Pap, Gram and Di.

We will all have that special memory of Wayne and how he touched are lives. He will never be forgotten because he is in all of are hearts in one way or another.

Dear dad & grandpa we had so many good times the trips to the Bahamas & Cancun, so many memories to hold on to. You will be missed so much. Only you had the answers to so many questions, and you never let anyone go with out. If someone needed anything you would make sure to give them just that. Rather it be a smile, or a hug, or even a couple dollars you made sure you helped everyone. We will miss the good times, but you will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace and we will take care of mom so dont worry!!!! And always remember "The Best is Yet to come"
