Dorotha Troutman Obituary
Dorotha J.
Age 78, of Rt. 6, Wellsboro, PA, died July 6, 2008 at Arnot Ogden Hospital, Elmira, NY. She was the wife of Quenton (Tony) Troutman, whom she married February 19, 1949. Dorotha was born September 21, 1929 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Nettie Cole Drainsfield. She had worked for Webster's Greenhouse, which was her favorite job, working with plants, Sherwood Motel, Penn Wells Motel, and Corning Glass Works. Dorotha enjoyed gardening and crafting. Surviving are her husband, Tony Troutman; daughters, Connie (Larry) Smith, Wellsboro, and Toni Lee (George) Kepner, New Jersey; sons, Roy Troutman, Wellsboro, Ted Troutman, Provo, Utah, and Wade Troutman, Wellsboro; grandchildren, Stephen (Angela) Smith of Lawrenceville, Tara (Travis) Coolidge of Branson, MO, Angela (Randy) Figgs of Ithaca, NY, and Kayla Kepner of New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Sydney Olivia Smith, Luther Figgs, Quenton Figgs and Conor Figgs; sisters, Emma Luke, Elmira Heights, NY, Pauline Maynard, Wellsboro, and Mae Merrick, Middlebury Ctr., PA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marguerite (Peg) Melko; son, William Roy; and daughter, Debra Marie Troutman. There will be no visitation and funeral services are private. Burial in Wellsboro Cemetery. If desired, memorials in her memory may be made to St. Christopher Philadelphia Children's Hospital.
