Way back in 1980 I rode back from Fulton, MS with Arland while my parents drove a U-Haul. He was so nice to me and kept me and my cat entertained for the whole trip. I have seen him occasionally since then at the Tioga County Early Days or Wal-Mart and he always had a smile and a kind word. My family and I are so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in your memories and the kindness of friends and family during this difficult time.

Arland was a dear neighbor of mine, who always looked out for me. From the time I left lights on, to when my horses got out to the time my son fell and was taken in the ambulance. He was a cherished friend and I will dearly miss him. He always yelled across the lawn as he sat on his porch. To his family my deepest sympathy from my family to yours. He was a good man.

So sorry to hear of Arland's passing. Everytime we see Codie on the John Deere B we think of 3 men; Dad, Grandpa and Arland. Our thoughts are with you.
