Mildred Harer Obituary

HARER, Mildred
92, formerly of Liberty, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Broad Acres, Wellsboro. Born February 16, 1916 in Liberty Twp. She was the daughter of Edward W. and Mertle Miller Brion. On October 1, 1940, Mildred married Romain Harer; he preceded her in death on July 13, 2006. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church and Sunday school, Sebring Grange, Tioga Pomona Grange and PA State and National Grange. Mildred is survived by her son, Alfred (Jenny) Harer, Wellsboro; grandchildren, Melane (Chris) Rottkamp, Poughkeepsie, NY, Jim (Chrissy) Cancellari, Poughkeepsie, NY, Tyler Sherman, Bradford, and Alex (Cara) Harer, both members of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Iraq; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Romain, she was predeceased by a daughter, Norma Cancellari. Family and friends will be received at the Salem Lutheran Church, Saturday, August 2nd, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon; the Rev. David Byerly will officiate. Burial will be at Salem St. Paul Cemetery. The family will provide the flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg.
