Michael Boughton Obituary

BOUGHTON, Michael J.
Passed away in his home, Raleigh, NC where he had been residing at the age of 68. Born in Elmira, Mike was the son of Mildred Grace Boughton. He was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy. Following school he served his country in the Navy. Mike was employed by American LaFrance for many years before moving to North Carolina. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling. When his children were young he enjoyed coaching basketball and baseball. Michael had a passion for road racing # 42. Surviving is his loving family, children, Victoria (Dan) Chapman, Elmira; Mark (Dawn) Boughton, Pine City; and Michael (Denise) Boughton, Clayton, NC; five grandchildren, Chelsea, Cory, Christopher and Alicia Boughton and Courtney Chapman; a brother-in-law, Marcus Allen, Elmira; nieces and nephews and his friends in Bambi's Meadow, NC. Mike was predeceased by his mother, Mildred Grace Boughton and his sister, Phyllis Allen. Full military honors services were accorded Mr. Boughton privately at his family's convenience.
