DEAN, Ellen A.
56, of Galeton, PA, died Monday, August 4, 2008, at her home. Born March 16, 1952, in Wellsboro, PA, she was the daughter of Anna M. (Loucks) Olson of Galeton and the late John A. Olson. She was a 1970 graduate of Galeton High School. On March 23, 1970, in Coudersport, PA, she married Ronald E. Dean, Jr., who survives. She was the secretary and treasurer of Earl F. Dean, Inc. Ellen was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Ronald E. Dean, Jr., Galeton; a son, Ronald E. Dean, III, Galeton; a daughter, Kimberly G. (Thomas) Preston, Columbus, OH; her mother, Anna M. Olson, Galeton; three grandsons, Michael, Mitchell and Matthew; two brothers, John J. Olson, Galeton and Mark A. (Diane) Olson, Galeton; her father and mother-in-law, Ronald E. and Audrey Dean, Galeton; a brother-in-law, William R. (Cathi) Dean, Galeton; a sister-in-law, Diana Smith, Wellsboro, PA; and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at West Hill Cemetery, Galeton, on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Prouty officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Goodyear Fire Company, the Gale Hose Ambulance Association, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton.
