WELLER, Gale A.
Age 58, of Erin, NY passed away after a brief illness Mon., Aug. 11, 2008, at the Bath VA Medical Center. Gale was born April 29, 1950 to Helen (Hollenbeck) Weller of Horseheads and the late Lawrence "Red" Weller. He is also survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Connie (Walker) Weller; daughter, Jennifer (Walter) Granger of Elmira; grandchildren, Michael, Walter and Destiny; sisters and brothers, Delores Welty of West Valley City, Utah, Sher Main of Elmira Heights, Arnold Weller of Elmira, Darrell Weller of Batavia, Darwin (Pam) Weller of Elba, Anthony Weller of Elmira, Gabriel Weller of Horseheads, Wayne Weller of Watkins Glen, Helen (Leroy) Stanton of Elmira Heights, and Delia Weller of Horseheads, NY; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and James Walker of North Chemung; brother-in-law, Wayne (Della) Walker of Erin; many nieces, nephews, neighbors and special friends, including Roger Hugg and Edward Fitzgerald; special nephew, Jeff Walker of Erin. Gale was employed at Topps Market in Consumer Square. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He also was employed at the former SCT BOCES and capabilities in Elmira. Gale enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 So. Main St., Horseheads on Thurs., Aug. 14, 2008, from 10 a.m. - 12:00 noon. His service will be celebrated there at 12:00 noon. His interment with full Military Honors will follow in North Chemung Cemetery.
