SKORESKI, Dial E.
Age 59, of Haradon Road in Corning, NY died Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Dial was born in Blossburg, PA on April 17, 1949 to Joseph and Delores (Doane) Skoreski. He married Sheila Allen Skoreski in 1969 in Addison. He had been a construction worker for many years and was a member of the Labors Union Local. He will be remembered as a family man who was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking, and was a devoted fan of NASCAR. He is survived by his wife, Sheila; his mother, Delores Doane of Elmira; daughter, Kerry (Julian) Carswell of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Gloria (Wilbur) Crumb of Pine City; brother, Kurt Skorczewski of Elmira; grandson, Dakota Glosser of Painted Post; granddaughter, Olivia Kelly Carswell of Colorado Springs, CO; several nieces, nephews; and cousins, including Joanne (Jack) Craft of Bradford. Dial was predeceased by his father, Joseph; a brother, Terry Skoreski; a daughter, Kelly Jo Skoreski; and a sister, Candy Skoreski. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 16th, from 1 - 3 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street in Corning, where funeral services will follow calling hours at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Presho Cemetery.
