Age 81, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008. He was predeceased by son, Frederick J. Zimmer in July 1993; brother, Ernest Zimmer; parents, William H. and Bertha M. Zimmer. Survived by former wife, Elaine Spence Zimmer of Houston, TX; children, Beadie (Dave) Locke of Horseheads, NY, William J. Zimmer Jr. of Houston, TX, Verna (Art) McDermott of Shepherd, TX, Bryan K. Zimmer of Beeville, TX.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Milunich of Elmira, NY; friend, Dayspring coordinator, Lucy Losey; special caregiver, Dorothy Corwin; and a host of family and friends. Arrangements by Kenneth E. Clark Funeral Services, Houston, TX. Those wishing may make donations in memory of Bill to Family Services of Chemung County, 1019 E. Water Street, Elmira, NY 14901 or Salvation Army-The Citadel, 32 Denison Pkwy., Corning, NY 14830.
