LONG ISLAND
Age 55, of Babylon, LI and formerly of Big Flats, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008. Survivors include her husband, James Zottola; three daughters, Tamara, Jamie and Ashley; father, David Richards Sr. of Lindley; sister, Roberta Lee of Addison; and brothers, David Richards Jr. of Elmira, and Albert Richards of Lindley. Burial was in North Babylon Cemetery.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I just found out today, 4 months after her passing. I knew Ellie online and in person for almost 10 years. I met her online through another friend from her chat room. I'll always remember the fun times we had at chat room parties, and through friends. She was a very caring and outgoing person, not enough words can say. I will always remember the night a group of us were playing cards. She was teaching me to play Euchre, and I was teaching her to play Poker. She started winning big, and she didn't even know why she was. Very funny. It was good times, my thoughts and prayers go out to her and her extended family and friends. I will cherish our friendship forever.

The world is without an angel..Ms Ellie was truly a loving, caring, thoughtful person. We don't meet many people in the world that teaches by example, but in the short time I knew her, she taught me, patience, kindness and she was a shining example of putting others before yourself...she never complained, she always had a kind and gentle word for everyone. God must be rejoicing for the new angel He has in heaven with Him now.

I knew Ellie only a year on AOL but in that time she always maintained her humor and grace. She's a true heroin in having shown such good attitude and bravery. It was a true privilege having known a person who gave only light to others.
