PINO, Richard A. "Dick", I
Age 60, of Covington, PA, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 3, 1948 in Blossburg, PA, a son of John and Betty (Johnston) Pino of Covington, PA. Richard was employed with Dalrymple Gravel and Contracting Company as a heavy equipment operator. During the Vietnam War, from 1967 to 1973, he served on the US Navy's Presidential ship. He was a member of the Arnot Sportsman's Club and the White Tail Lodge Hunting Club. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman, having caught the Pennsylvania record Crappie in 2001. In addition to his father, John Pino, he is survived by a son, Richard "Dick" A. Pino, II of Blossburg, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole "Nickie" and James Thall of Middlebury Center, PA, Bell R. and Rick Johnson of Covington, PA; four grandchildren, Dillon J. and Korey Thall, Alex and Ashlee Johnson; his former wife and mother of his children, Mary L. (Giles) Pino of Middlebury Center, PA; a brother, Jack Pino; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Susan Tokarz, Dianne and William Linam and Glenda Moore. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 22, 2008, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory and Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Richard Krueger officiating. Burial will be in Niles Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to The American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com

My sincere sympathy goes out to the familiy of Mr. Pino ~ When his son Dick and I started working together and I first met Mr. Pino I was scared of him, but I found out quickly he was really just a big teddy bear!!!! I'm sure he is now sharing with everyone that went before him his "trophy fish" experience!!!!
