Dear Jim,

I feel so fortunate to have prepared and eaten the last meal with you, before the good lord called upon you.Not to forget the wonderful conversation we had together. Jim and I will never forget you nor your wife Lucille. Every Thanksgiving that we had the past five years we will always cherish in our memory.Your presence will always be there forever, and the conversation will always be remembered, and talked about. We don't think you ever realized how special you were to everyone everywhere, because you were so modest, about yourself and life. Your main concern was always mother, aside from whatevere else you were dealing withat the time. That's what always made you such a special person, you always took care of the most important first. Your obiturary tells it all. It's the talk of the town. But, you never talked about all that, because that was you. So, modest and so not wanting to be recognized, just wanting to be you.

All Our Love, Your daughter - in law- Bonnie and your son Jim W.Jr. II
We will never forget, you or mom and as always, never forget dear John, yours and moms son and our bother, the best.

To the Davenport Family,

Words cannot even express the pain that you are feeling right now, as I am with the very recent loss of my own mother. We think that our parent's are going to live forever. While gathered together with my own family your family was certainly mentioned and all of the good times we had growing up. Both your Dad and Mom were special people to me, especially after the loss of my father at such a young age, giving me the support and comfort that I needed at that time. Memories of Seneca Lake are still fresh in my mind - taking a ride on the cruiser, just hanging around the Yacht Club or Nancy and I trying our hand at sailing. I was fortunate enough to talk to Nancy on just this past Friday and asked her to give your Dad and hug and kiss from Dixie Cup or Two Bits (his two favorite nick names for me). You are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
