BORDEN, Arnold A.
Age 72, of Princeton Street, Wellsboro, PA died August 29, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was born September 16, 1935 in Wellsboro, PA, the son of the late Waymon L. and Lucille Sticklin Borden. Arnold's mother died at an early age, and he was raised by his father and mother, Emiline Borden. Arnold was a mechanic for Borden's Auto Parts and a Delmar Township supervisor and road master. Arnold was a member of the Council of Governments, was a devoted father, grandfather and friend, and loved fishing, hunting, horseback riding and camping. Surviving are mother, Emiline Borden, Wellsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Rhonda Borden, Wellsboro; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Rice, Wellsboro; grandchildren, Amanda Borden of Morrisville, NC, Amber Borden of Wellsboro, Tim Rice and wife Kym of Wellsboro, and Shawn Rice and wife Loretta of Wellsboro; two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Maxine Borden, Haines City, FL and Carl and Shirley Borden, Antrim, PA; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Paul Sando, Elmira, NY. He was preceded in death by his father, Waymon, his mother, Lucille, a sister, Vivian Donner, and brother, Keith Borden. Friends and family are invited to Arnold's Life Celebration on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home", 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, with Darwin Cranmer officiating.
