Chrysanthe Grigoriou Obituary
Of Hilton Head, SC and formerly a longtime resident of Grand Central Ave. in Horseheads passed away Friday Aug. 29, 2008 in Hilton Head, SC. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 So. Main St. Horseheads on Thursday Sept. 4, 2008 from 4-7:00 p.m. A service of Divine Liturgy will take place on Friday Sept. 5th, 2008 at 11:00 in St. Athanasios Church, 210 Franklin St., Elmira, NY 14904 with the Rev. Richard J. Scott officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads. Those wishing may also express their sympathy with memorials to St. Athanasios Church 210 Franklin St., Elmira, NY.

Aww...I am so saddened by Mrs. Grigoriou's passing. What a loving woman. I have always held a special place in my heart for her. She was so kind to me growing up and playing in her house with her grandkids. I still remember bright red hardboiled eggs that she made for Easter (I think it was Easter). Chrysanthe will be greatly missed. i remember going over to her house as a little boy for milk and cookies after my yayia & popiou got done grocery shopping. My thoughts and Prayers are with the Grigoriou Family. God Bless!

Mr. Grigoriou, you and family are in my prayers and thoughts.I was 1 of Chrysanthe's care-givers, we became very close. She was a beautiful person with the spirit of Godly love. May God rest her soul and give the family comfort.
