Patricia Tanner Obituary
A longtime resident of the Wilawanna Rd., Wellsburg passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, September 4, 2008 at Robert Packer Hospital following an illness at the age of 76. Born on July 27, 1932 in Gillett, PA, Patricia was the daughter of Leslie & Anna Lewis Ameigh. She married John Ralph Tanner on March 30, 1956 and he predeceased her on November 12, 2002. Together they operated Tanner Dairy Farm which has been in operation for over 100 years. They dedicated their lives to hard work and provided a wonderful home to raise their family who survive; A son and daughter-in-law, Dwight & Laura Lynn Tanner, Chemung; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Alice Tanner & Stephen Judson, Gambrills, MD; grandchildren, Sara and Derek Tanner, Andrew and Emily Judson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian & Thomas Walsh of Bentley Creek, PA; Carol & Donald Osgood, Park City, MT, a brother and sister-in-law, Llewellyn & Margaret Ameigh, Gillett, PA; along with nieces, nephews and family friends who will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport on Monday September 8, 2008 from 12 noon -1 p.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:15 p.m. with the Reverend Donald Rockwell officiating. Graveside services will follow in Ashland Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband John Ralph Tanner. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a sister, Esther Berry.

Dear Alice, Steve, Dwight and Laura, Sara Derek, Andrew and Emily,
Jack and I will sorely miss being able to call your Mom (Grandmother) and chat with her.
Wish we lived closer and could have spent more time with her personally.
