Patricia Hoffman Obituary
Age 79, of Waverly and formerly of Shelbourne St. in Horseheads, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Doane in 1985; and more recently her husband, Howard Hoffman in 2008. She is survived by her sons and daughters, Paul and Jenny Doane, Ruthanne Gabriel, Michael and Vicki Doane, Jo Ellen and Keith Suiter, Jan and Fred Kinner, David and Denise Doane; stepdaughter, Carol Ann and Steven Merrill; numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Marcia and Walt Moyer; and cousin, Lewis Clark. She was a member of Horseheads Community Wesleyan Church and formerly their organist. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, on Wed., Sept. 10, 2008, from 5-7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10-11:00 a.m., where her service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James Swanson officiating. Interment will follow beside her late husband, Paul in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads.

Dear Friends,
We were so sorry to hear about your Mom. We have such fond memories of Pat. Her home was my "second home" growing up next door! She was a dear lady and will be missed. It's hard to lose a Mother, but she always remains in our hearts.

We so enjoyed all the many years Pat played the organ at our Church. I grew up on Fairfax Street and new Pat quite well. She will be greatly missed. I know how hard it is to lose a mom because I lost mine in 2005.

I am so sorry to read of your Mom's passing. I am sorry I did not write down your address so I could send a card. It is very hard to lose your Mom, I know because I lost mine in 2006. I so enjoyed getting together with you and Jean this past summer.
