Mom, this year will mark 13 yrs since you have gone to Heaven. So much has happened since then. We have lost Dad and Steve. It gives me comfort to know you were there to greet them when they arrived at the Pearly Gates. You have great grandchildren that you never got to meet. I know you would have loved being a great grandma because you loved being a grandma. The "kids" still talk of memories of staying overnight with you, learning crafts, and baking with you. You never missed a concert, dance recital, or ballgame. I finally got that butterfly tattoo in your honor, as did so many of our family did. Sometimes when I'm quiet and allow my mind to really be aware, I feel your presence. This warms my heart. I miss you, Mom, so much. I love you. Til we meet again, enjoy your flight.

Thinking of you, Mom. I can't believe it's been almost 11yrs since you've been gone!

Mom,
Words cannot explain how I feel right now. I have lost someone who I love tremendously! I miss you so much. I want to pick up the phone just to say "whatcha doin?" Now I'm doing that to dad. He doesn't seem to mind. We are all taking good care of him and Penny. He even gave her a bath!!! YUK!! We see your presence in the many butterflies that fly around us at your house. We just smile and say "that's mom". The kids are all doing quite well considering. They're all giving dad extra hugs. They're also doing work around the house ( Jared only charged dad $1. for raking ). Mom, you were the best and I would never have changed anything about you. I hope that when my boys grow up, they will think the same of me that I do you. I Miss You Sooo Much!!! Remember that if you're playing Canasta with Grandpa, Grandma and Steve in heaven--Grandpa and Stevie are probably cheating! Grandpa is hiding cards between his toes!
I already informed Dad that Holiday meals and Spaghetti dinners will still be down there. He just looked at me and smiled. We know that you'll be there too!
Jacob and Jared have alot of questions and I answer them as simple but truthful as I can. It's hard for them to understand. It's hard for any of us to understand.
I hope you agree with the choices we made for your services. You looked beautiful as always. Mom, I could go on forever but the main thing that I want you and everyone else to know is how wonderful you were to everyone and how much you were loved!!
I LOVE YOU MOM XOXOXO
I will see you someday in heaven but until then, Fly Free Our Beautiful Butterfly. Love you Lots, Sam

My big sister was the most thoughtful and caring person I'll ever know. She always thought about others, even when she was in the hospital.

I'll always remember our chinese dinner and coloring with you. And let's not forget my Mona Lisa pants! I'll be watching for the butterflies and everytime I see one, I'll know you're watching over us. Love and miss you, sis.

I first meet Mrs. Mathews when she came to Jacob's first grade classroom dressed as a cow...udders and all. I could tell what a fun and loving grandmother she was. How lucky you all were for having her in your lives. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My "big sis and best friend " was the most amazing angel. She was very loving, caring ,giving, thoughtful, forgiving and fun to be with. Our closeness over the years has given me many memories I will cherish forever. Our get togethers will not ever be the same as she added so....much. It was very hard to say goodbye but I know your long fought suffering is gone and you are with our dad who you missed very much. I will be watching for the butterflies. May you rest in peace. Love and miss you Nancy

I'm really at a loss for words.I was totally shocked when I read the paper this morning. Chris was always a kind and gentle person. She was loved by everyone. I 'm sharing and caring in your loss. God will take care of her now and I'm sure she'll be looking down and smiling at her family and will still be touching everyone. God Bless

Ed, Becky & family,

We are so sorry to learn of Christine's passing. May you find peace in knowing that she is no longer suffering. Christine was one of the nicest people we have ever met. One thing we know for certain is Heaven just received another Angel and she will be looking down on all of us. Please know if there is anything that we can do for you, just say the word.

Occasionally, we are graced with the presence of an earth bound angel. They are unable to stay with us for long, but while they do, they bring unprecedented joy and happiness to all they touch. While they are here, we bask in their goodness and marvel at their contribution to the world. When they leave, we are left with the devastation that comes with losing such a wonderful being...but we must remember..the earth bound angels are not ours to keep. They are ours to enjoy, learn from, and behold until they return home.

I'm proud to say that the nicest woman I've ever known was my Aunt. I love you and I'll miss you!

To all of our dear friends, Chris's family,
We send our deepest sympathy. You have lost the most amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend. While we have known Chris, Ed, Becky, Steve and Sam for many years, we have gotten to see the loving, sharing side of Chris since living next door to Sam, Erich, Jacob and Jared.
Ed, you had so many years together, but not enough. You loved your garden and she loved preserving it all.
Becky and Joe, Steve and Heather, and Sam and Erich you got to spend so much precious time with her. You will always have those memories to cherish.
She had so much fun with all of you grandchildren, teaching you crafts and just having fun. And we know you loved every minute you could spend with her.
Charlene, we know how especially close both of you were, more like sisters, than sisters-in-law and very good friends.
Our hearts are hurting for all of you.
Please know we will be there if any of you need anything.

My mother was the most loving and caring perosn I Knew. She gave to many people with her generous heart. I learned many things from my mother, and will miss her when I attend my children, nieces and nephews school and sporting events without her. I'm sure I will still feel her presence as a butterfly glides pass me. Mom, may your soul be free with the Lord and feel no more pain. I love you! Becky
