Robert Loan Obituary

LOAN, Robert A.
Age 70, of Albany Avenue, Kingsotn, NY, died at home on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Born in Elmira, NY, January 22, 1938, a son of the late Warren and Cecelia Stanton Loan. A graduate of Horseheads High School, Horseheads, New York, he received a degree in Electrical engineering from Alfred University. He is a veteran of The National Guard. Employed as an electrical engineer for IBM for over thirty years until retirement. Surviving are one brother, Francis Loan and his wife, Lucy of Niagara Falls, New York; two sisters, Marion O'Bryan of Horseheads, New York, and Marguerite O'Bryan and her husband, Thomas of Fort Plain, New York; a twin brother, Richard, died at birth. Graveside services will be held at the Loan family plot at Saint Mary our Mother Cemetery Horseheads, New York, Monday at 1:00 p.m. Rev Robert MacNamara officiating. Arrangements by Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston, NY. (www.jvleahyfh.com) Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday, 3 to 6 p.m. Flowers are welcome: expressions of sympathy may also be made in the form of contributions to American Heart Association.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was in my graduating class at H.H.S. He was a really nice young man - very quiet.
