Joyce Felix Obituary
Age 83, of Elmira, NY, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008, at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. Joyce was born on August 31, 1925 in Elmira to the late Henry and Eva Kays. Joyce retired from Westinghouse after 34 years of service. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Adolfo Felix after 48 years of marriage; parents; grandparents, Flora and George Kays; sister, Phyllis Jennings; brother-in-law, Bill Liddy. Survivors include, daughters, Roxanne (Donald) Sherman and Margarita (William) Morgan; son, Robert (Jacki) Felix; sister, Jane Liddy; grandchildren, Anita Sands, Michael Morgan, William Morgan II, Brian, Sierra and Taylor Felix, Heather Wilbur and Melissa Milazzo, Julie May, Donald Sherman; 16 great-grandchildren; niece, Sharon Jennings; nephew, Dale Jennings; very close friends, Fred McElligott and Margaret. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, September 23, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held there on Wednesday, September 24, at 1:15 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick's Church with Fr. Walter Wainwright as celebrant. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
