Lois Losinger Obituary

LOSINGER, Lois A.
Of Millerton, PA, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, September 27, 2008 at her home in the care of her loving family. Lois was born on September 18, 1945 daughter of Nyal & Naomi Hendrix Barber I. Lois, married Michael Losinger on June 21, 1973 in Millerton. She held an Associates Degree in Business from Corning Community College, did tax preparation and bookkeeping. As a homemaker, she made a warm and comfortable home for her family and several foster children. Lois' interests included bowling, crocheting and family times. Her service to the Lord included being active in Women's Ministries and Missions within the Millerton Wesleyan Church where she was a member. She also served as the Cradle Roll Director and Church Historian. Lois is survived by her loving family, husband and companion of 35 years, Michael Losinger Sr., Millerton, PA; son, Michael (Ashley) Losinger Jr., Millerton, PA; daughter, Michele (Roland) Hostrander, Cortland, NY; grandchildren, Russell, Nyal and Elise; a brother, Richard (Cindy) Barber and a sister, Naoma Jean (George) Bird of Millerton, PA; many nieces and nephews whom she was very close to as well as her church family and many close friends. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, Nyal A. Barber II and a nephew Richard C. Barber. Family and friends will be received for a time of visitation at the Millerton Wesleyan Church, Millerton, PA on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 between the hours of 4-6 p.m. A memorial celebration of her life and Coronation Service will follow at 6 p.m. with her pastor and friend, the Reverend Laurie Greenlaw officiating. Her ashes will be interred in Alder Run Cemetery at her families convenience. Memorial donations may be directed to the Millerton Wesleyan Church for Wesleyan Women Missions, 5174 Main Street, Millerton PA 16936 in her memory.

Mike & Family... Please accept my deepest sympathies. I met Lois thru a very dear friend of mine and her cousin. She did my taxes for a number of years. I most recently connected with her again thru Facebook! She was a wonderful lady and leaves us with many, many wonderful memories!
