I remember my friend "Judge" Truesdail as civic minded man, as one who only wanted to serve the people of Tioga County and managed to do so in so many ways. He was fun loving and a real personal friend and loving husband to Shirley. WE had many good times . Loved George.

Two months ago my mom & I ran into Mr. Truesdail in the supermarket. I kept looking at him because I felt as if he was staring at us...then it clicked! That's Mr. Truesdail!! I hadn't seen him since I was a senior in HS (1991). He came up to my mom & gave her a HUGE hug and said "I could never forget you Letty." We stood there laughing & reminiscing - the last time I saw him was under "unusual circumstances" and he had a hammer & a robe on!! What a blessing he was to our family. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to see his smile that day in the store. May he rest in peace for he is with the Lord our God~

I will always remember the long talks I had with George over the years while he was an Investigator, Probation Officer, Judge, Minister and Coroner. He always had a smile and was interested in what was happening in the world around him and he always had time to carry on a friendly conversation. I consider my life a little fuller because I had the opportunity to have known this fine and gracious man. He will be missed by us here but I'm sure he will be welcomed into his well deserved place in Heaven...... William H Standinger III

I was so shocked to hear that George had passed. I knew him all through school. We sat next to each other all thru High School. He was a gentle giant then and even though I didn't see much of him in our adult lives I'm sure he stayed the same. I just want to say you and your family will be in my prayers and thoughts.
