SULLIVAN, Jean L.
Age 83, of Fayetteville, NY, formerly of Elmira, died on Thursday, October 9, 2008. Jean was born in Elmira on October 12, 1924, a daughter of Edward and Mary Donahue Reidy. Jean is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, James H. Sullivan, who died January 31, 2008. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Gary Reichert of Brewerton, NY; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Anne Sullivan of Fairfax, VA, Jim and Chris Sullivan of Orlando, FL, Bill and Nancy Sullivan of North Syracuse, NY; sisters and brother-in-law, Kay and John Wilmot, Mary "Ibby" Rauch; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Claire Reidy, all of Elmira; grandchildren, Sean, Paul, Maddie, Nick, Larry, Aaron, and Jennah Sullivan, KC Groth; great-grandchildren, Finn and Patrick Sullivan; along with several in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Jean retired in 1990 from SUNY ESF after many years of service. She followed professional golf closely and greatly enjoyed several tournaments she was able to attend. Jean was known for her quick wit, loyalty to family and friends, and her calm nature. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Monday, October 13, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:15 p.m. Interment will then take place at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
