He even studied flower design in Holland and received a Dutch Masters Certificate, and also was awarded the titles of Master Florist and Master Designer from FTD. In the last few years Dan was self-employed, having Roy's Flowers and Greenhouse at his home in Coryland. Dan was a member of Sylvania Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder, youth leader, worship and music leader, and was involved in the Steven Ministry. He was a former member and still attended Coryland Church. Dan is survived by his wife. Naomi; his mother, Velma; his children, Brennon D. (Tabitha) Roy, Sarah E. Roy, Osiana P. Roy, and Avilon G. Roy, all of Coryland; grandchildren, Morgan Jean and Kylee Maree Roy, Timothy White and Kathryne White of Mansfield; brothers, Dean (Linda) Roy of Roy, UT and Darrell (Julie) Roy of Gillett; sisters, Denise (Jay) Malin of Grottoes, VA. Dear Cousin Naomi and family
I was shocked to hear of Dan's passing but I know now that he is no longer in pain. I know that it is not an easy thing to lose one so dear and near to your heart, but it does get easier as time goes by. You will always have him in your heart. I wish I could have made it to the services, but it was not a possibility. Much Love and Prayers

The blooms in our garden will give us assurance that Dan is there. When we hear a robust hymn, we will know he is in fine voice. When we see a compassionate act, we will be reminded to continue the tradition that Dan applied to life. We'll miss the long heart to heart emails and his sense of humor. He was an inspiration to us all. Love and prayers, Aunt Lin and Uncle Luther.

Deepest sympathies on your loss. Dan was an artist at flower growing, flower arranging and marketing. He was such an inspiration to vendors and customers at Towanda Farmers Market. We have missed him this year but know that his pain was great. What an indomitable spirit! I am grateful to have known him.

Naomi and family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
The last time I saw Dan in the hospital, he talked about going home and having Hospice, as his lung was no longer working and there was nothing further they could do. He fought a great battle.
I will miss seeing him.
I enjoyed his lovely flower arrangments. He had a true gift. He was faithul at leaving flowers for Marion Knapp when she was at Phyl Carlo.
If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to let us know.
I will be out of town and will not be able to make his service.

Our Dearest Naomi & Family,

Words cannot convey the degree of loss or the measure of pain felt by those of us who remain in the shadow of our beloved Dan. We choose not to grovel in our plight brought on by his passing but rather to rejoice in the fact that Dan is free from the pull of sin forevermore and knows perfect health in every sense of the word.

Dan is indeed a beloved soldier of the King who has now gone on before us to his grand reward in the presence of our Eternal Savior. For such a day we are all living for. I can see him singing praises to the King Himself with full and perfect voice. He knows that our arrrival with him and the King is but a breath away. What a glorious reunion that will be.

Our prayers are ever with you. Please do let us know what we can do to help you through the coming days of transition.

"And He shall give His angels charge over YOU to keep YOU in everyway!" -- Psa 91:11

With Our Love,
John, Heidi, Lindsay, Timmy, Autumn, Taylor and Abby.
