My deepest sympathy to the entire Bodine family. I have nothing but fond memories of my childhood at Chemung Speedrome. I was a Chubby Chandler fan (still a Ford guy), but was totally impressed with Earl's talent and his blistering fast Slant Six. He was always friendly with us kids in the pits. My Prayers are with you all.

My thoughts and memories of Earl are those of an 11-year old child. He and his brother, Maynard, were very good friends of my cousin, Donnie Van Dusen, whose farm abutted the Bodine farm in Chemung.
I clearly remember Earl and Maynard travelling, at that time, not in racing cars, but on horses! The memory always brings a smile to my heart. Earl, Maynard and Donnie all shared a love of automotives, and though time, distance, and life's cycle has separated us all, we have to thank God for the wonderful memories we have of our loved ones and friends, no matter how brief they may be.
Now Earl has been released into God's loving arms, a final blessing for one who has had a blessed life full of friends and family. I would like to think there will be a reunion in Heaven with Earl, and my beloved cousin, Donnie where they can talk automotives to their hearts' content.
May God bless you all and comfort you in your loss.

To Mr. Bodine's family, My condolences on the passing of Earl. As a kid living in Elmira, my dad would frequently take us to the Chemung Speedrome to watch my favorite driver, yup, Earl Bodine. He provided so many thrills and so much entertainment.

I am so sorry about your father Camille. You may not remember me but you and I were very good friends in Elementary school. I have often thought about you and where you might be. I remember watching some play or something and holding your hand in the auditorium. I think you were my best friend then. My name is Tina. It was Tarby back then. Do you remember?
