Dorothy McCluskey Obituary

McCLUSKEY, Dorothy Ann
Services celebrating Dorothy's life were held Tuesday, November 4, 2008. A 9:15 a.m. prayer service was held at McInerny Funeral Home, with Father Richard Farrell leading the prayers. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Elmira, with Father Farrell presiding. The funeral pall was placed on Dorothy's casket by her nephews, who were also her pallbearers, Joseph Wheeler, Alex Lopez, Aaron Manchester, Michael McCluskey, Michael Storm, Tim Hassen, and David Biddle; great-nephew, Trevor Storm, placed the crucifix. Readings were given by nieces, Amanda Wheeler and Sara Lopez. Father Farrell read the gospel and delivered the homily. Remarks of remembrance were shared by nephew, Joseph Wheeler; and niece, Colleen Hassen. Prayers of the faithful were led by niece, Karen Storm. Dorothy's siblings, Ron McCluskey and Pat Wheeler presented the Offertory Gifts. Music was led by organist Mary Montanarella with St. Mary's Resurrection Choir. Interment and committal prayers followed at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
