James Bailey Obituary
Age 71, of Elmira, NY entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 31, 2008, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Southport/Elmira on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Officers and members of the American Legion will conduct a service for Jim at 7:00 p.m., followed by Military Honors at the Funeral Home. A 'Candle of Remembrance' may be left for the family in obituaries at www.olthof.com.

Dear family of Jim, I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with him at the Elmira Post Office for many years. I learned about carrying mail from guys like Jim, along with my late Father, Jack Wood. He was one of a kind, and you always knew what he thought. I miss the old Carriers, as they were a great bunch. I hadn't seen Jim in years since I moved to Florida, but I'll always remember him. As my Dad used to say, "He's gone to that Post Office in the sky." You have my deepest sympathies.
