Heinz Kautz Obituary
Passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, October 18, 2007 with his loving family by his side. Born on July 4, 1921 in Stolp, Germany, Heinz was the son of the late Herman & Minna Zessin Kautz. He was a loving husband and friend to Anni Kautz who he married on December 31, 1943 and she predeceased him in March of 2007. His interests included gardening, reading and stamp collecting and time spent with his family. Surviving is his loving family, Edda-Verena & Joseph Caccia, Naperville, IL; Dagmar Doland & Bob Van AlStyne, Rochester, NY; Brigitte Savino, Elmira; Harold Kautz & Cherie Cartwright, Elmira; Scott & Pam Kautz, Beggs, OK; grandchildren, Janet Danley; Joseph Caccia Jr. & Beth Staley; Veronika & T.J. Muscato; Erika & Greg Muscato; Shawn & Selena Savino; Maressa Savino & Todd Shumaker; Aaron Kautz; Beckie Kramer; Lillie & Aaron Kautz; great grandchildren, Cheryl Fink & Robert Chesney; Victoria, Jamie and Daniel Muscato; Sage Pesesky; Tiarra, Caleb Savino; Anthony, Markus, Tatum and Ryan Kramer; Jack, Dylan, Dustin, Ashley and Bradley Danley; a great great grandchild, Seth McCalvin; a brother, Willi Kautz and family in Berlin Germany. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport on Wednesday October 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. for a memorial service. Graveside services will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the families convenience. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital 3rd floor Nursing Unit, 55 E. Market St. Elmira, NY 14901 in Heinz's memory. Thank you to the 3rd floor nursing staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for the wonderful care provided Mr. Kautz during his final days. To all the family we express our deepest sympathy. My fondest memory of Heinz is at the party on our back porch. It was a shower for TJ and Veronika. Lots of family talking about the up coming wedding. Heinz was in charge of the flowers! He was so excited and pleased, he just knew they were going to be most beautiful flowers anyone had ever seen. AND THEY WERE!! I have never seen roses so lovely. Opi and Omi would come for a holiday dinners, it was always an honor to have them. They opened their hearts to the Muscato family,and we have all shared in their gift of love.

Edda, Al and I want to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family in the death of your father. I said prayers for him at Mass last Sunday and when I got to work the day I first read the notice, I lit a candle. [I am sure Al told you I work for a church.]
