Linda Weber Obituary

WEBER, Linda
Age 55, of Horseheads, NY, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen; a funeral service honoring her memory will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home; burial will be held at Montour Cemetery, Montour Falls. The Rev. J. Keith Kissel will officiate. She is survived by her husband, Gary Weber; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Christopher and Sarah Weber of Brunswick, Maine; daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah and Jonathan Prince of Mississauga, Ontario; and two granddaughters, Laura Prince and Aaliyah Weber. She was predeceased by her parents, Hugh "Woody" Woodhouse (1992) and Ethlyn Woodhouse (April 2007) and granddaughter, Lily. Linda was a member of the Oakwood United Methodist Church in Elmira Heights. She had a strong faith in God and loved to worship Him with her beautiful singing voice. She was also very active with her children as they were growing up, volunteering her time with many organizations they were involved in. She loved summers sailing on Seneca Lake with her family; and was a Past Commander of the Seneca Squadron of the United Seneca Power Squadron and served as Commodore and Vice-Commodore of the Finger Lakes Yacht Club. Memorials in her memory may be made to Southern Tier Hospice, 11751 E. Corning Rd., Corning, NY 14830.
