Gene Davis Obituary
70, of Stony Fork Road, Wellsboro, PA, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, following an admirable one year battle with cancer. Born February 3, 1937, the son of the late Grant and Ethel Bliss Davis. Survived by his devoted wife, Sarah; daughters, Kathleen Robinson, Maxine Phillips and Cindy Meixel; four grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, three stepdaughters, seven step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, October 26, 2007, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Funeral, Saturday, October 27, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kermit Schrawder officiating. Burial in West Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's memory to Laurel Health Hospice, 24 Walnut Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901, or the American Cancer Society, Tioga County Unit, 1948 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.

I am so sorry to read about the death of Gene. My grandfather was William White (Samuel Davis) and my mother is Virginia Gush from Elmira. Please know that we are praying for you and thinking of you during this difficult time.

I have so many wonderful memories of Gene trying to keep me on a horse, although I bounced off every time in broke into a trot. He was full of love and always had a smile.
I hope he's galloping through the clouds right now.

Sorry to hear of Gene's passing. Seems the "old Dresser crew" just keeps getting smaller and smaller. Boy he could tell a joke though !!
