Elsie Sackrider Obituary
Elsie Jewel
Age 94, of 44 Red House Lane, Lawrenceville, PA, passed away Monday, November 12, 2007, at her residence. She was born June 22, 1913 in Lawrenceville, PA. Elsie retired from Corning Inc. and she was a life member of the Westfield Chapter of the O.E.S. She owned and operated the Red House Campground in Lawrenceville, PA, since the early 1970's. She is survived by her grandson, Raymond (Patty) Sackrider, Lawrenceville, PA; daughters, Mary Jo Fosmer, Alden, NY, Ann Holder, Westfield, PA; granddaughters, Louise and Deb; great-granddaughters, Kimberly, Samantha and June (who assisted in Elsie's care.) Also, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Sacky" Sackrider; and sons, Bill and Jim Sackrider. Family and friends are invited to call at the Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc., 214 West Main St., Elkland, PA, Wednesday from 1-3:00 p.m., where funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Rev. Frederick Turner officiating. Burial in Sabinsville Cemetery, Sabinsville, PA. Memorials may be made to Laurel Home/Health Hospice, 24 Walnut Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901, in Elsie's memory.
