TACKA, Anna Mae (Hargraves)
Age 83, of Pratt Street, Elmira, passed Sat., Nov. 10, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. Anna was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Valentine F. 'Val" Tacka on April 4, 2004. Her surviving family includes her daughters and son, Rose Marie Pettitt of Elmira, John (Maryanna) Tacka of Horseheads, Bonnie DePrimo of Elmira; grandchildren, Cindy (Gary) Eastwood, Paul Feeney, Robert Pettitt, Michael Correll, Corrinna (John) Dutton Jelene (Jamie) Peck and Laraine Chacona, Anthonette DePrimo; sisters and brothers, Warren Hargraves of Avoca, Harold (Minnie) Hargraves of Bath, and Virginia Ames, also of Bath, and Velma Hargraves of Elmira; sisters-in-law, Mary (Lou) Fadale of Elmira, Anna Margaret Forsythe of Elmira; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Hailey Chacona, Maryea Rogers, Eric and Christopher VanStrander, Andrew and Robby Pettitt, Katrina and Jonathan Eastwood, Harley and Tristan Correll. Predeceasing were granddaughters, Anna Marie Pettitt and Catherine Pettitt; sons-in-law, Anthony DePrimo and Robert Pettitt; grandson, Jamie Pettitt; brother, Willie Hargraves. Anna was a Communicant to St. Cecilia's in Elmira, and a retiree of Westinghouse Corp. in Horseheads. Friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads, on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, from 3-5:00 p.m. Her service will follow there at 5:00 p.m. Interment will take place beside her husband in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira.
