Clara Wood Obituary

WOOD, Clara L.
Age 86, of El-Cor Nursing Facility, Horseheads, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Survived by sons, Asa (Darcy) Wood, Lawrenceville, PA, Colin Wood, Elmira, Olin (Mabel) Wood, Horseheads, Daryl (Dorothy) Wood, Elmira; daughter, Kerehl Wood, Ashland, VA; brother, Hyla Dunmore, Ashville, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins; predeceased by sister, Annamae Kjelgaard. Clara was a member of Elmira Wesleyan Church and the Mother of Twins Club. Donations may be made to the family for her Headstone. The Family will receive relatives and friends at the Kalec Funeral Home, Friday, November 16th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed immediately by her Funeral Service at 1 p.m., Rev. Tim Swank officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads.

I remeber my grand mother as a very caring christian lady who cared about everybody. she was always happy when she saw me. I admire her because she was a very loving person. I miss her very much.

Clara was like a granmother to me. I have many memories of her over the past 8 years.when i remember the times her and kerhal took me to the mission. I always admired clara for the fact she loved God no matter what. I am sorry for your loss. may God bless you as he did clara even in her last moments

What I remember most about Clara was that she always had interesting stories to tell. She loved the Lord and her favorite daughter was Kerehl. I had the priviledge of feeding her one Sunday before she went to the Banquet Table in Heaven. That's got to be exciting. I know that her children will miss her, but also know that she is with Jesus. My sympathies are with you all. (Kerehl, Derehl, Olin, Colin and Asa)

Was very sorry for your loss. Your Mother was a real sweet person to know. I've always thought of her as a dedicated person to the Lord. There was nothing any better for her to talk about than the LORD.Now she's in a better place where she'll feel no more pain. One say we will all go to see her.
