As regent of the Wellsboro DAR chapter, I wish to express our sympayhy. She was our Historian and a great member of our society with the offices that she had held.
As a friend of Gertrude's, I wish to say that I was pleased to be her friend and will miss her. I'm glad that I did visit her in the middle of October.
Janice, Martha and Fred, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you a this time and help you through this sad time.

My heart is heavy to hear of Gertrude's passing.I met her through Colonial Dames XVII Century and was a great inspiration to me to keep The Treaty Elm Chapter going. I also was a great admirer of her needle point. God bless you all in your time of sorrow.
