Frances Ellison Obituary

ELLISON, Frances Cecil
Of Watkins Glen, New York, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007, after a lengthy illness, at the Riverview Manor Health Care Center in Owego, New York. Born January 6, 1919, Frances was predeceased by her mother, Minnie Ellison and father, Homer Ellison. Fran was a lifelong resident of Schuyler County. She retired from Willard State Hospital to take over the management of the longtime family business, The Ellison Souvenir Shop across from the Glen Gorge in Watkins Glen. Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Keith Arnold of Birch Run, MI; and her granddaughter, Elaine of Kalamazoo, MI; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and John Conkright; niece, Debra Maney; and great-nephew, Erik, all of New York; and several cousins. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Haughey-Wood Funeral Home in Watkins Glen on Saturday, December 8th, 2007, at 1:00 pm. Interment in the Reading Center Cemetery will take place immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620, to help fight the horrible disease that claimed Fran's life. Friends and family may sign the guest book at www.townsendwoodfuneralchapel.com.
