Oscar Carlson Obituary

CARLSON, Oscar A.
Age 87, of Wellboro, PA, formerly of Blossburg, PA, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Oscar was born on September 28, 1920 in Blossburg, PA, the son of the late John and Margaret "Landrus" Carlson. He was married to the late Ann "Strong" Carlson. Oscar was formerly employed as a Security Guard for JP Ward Foundry. He was a former member of the Highway Tabernacle Church in Mansfield, PA and enjoyed building remote control trains and planes. Oscar is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy and Vernon Morgan of Mainesburg, PA, Betty Ann Walburn of Susquehanna, PA; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Wendy Bartlett on May 3, 1990; and six brothers. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, December 8, 2007, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 1:30 p.m. with the Pastor Jim Shay officiating.
