Weizer, John, Steve,

I am so sorry for your loss and that I was not able to make it to the service. Dear Patrick will be sorely missed. Although I did not know Patrick extremely well, we did get to spend time together on a few occasions. One memory I have is the time we were all together at Woman Lake in Minnesota. He had caught a fish off the dock and I offered to help him get it off the hook. As I saw him do on many occasions, he took charge and did not need any help. He struggled briefly with the fish and before you knew it he had his hand under his shirt and was using his t-shirt to hang on to the fish and remove it from the hook. I only wish I’d had the camera at that moment. He had a big smile on his face as he was so proud of his catch. I gave him a hard time about the shirt, but it didn’t seem to bother him at all. He said it was no big deal. I told him his mom probably didn’t feel the same way, especially around laundry time. I’d just like to share a couple of lines that seem fitting:

While death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Weizer & John - "Our Friends" We are so sorry for Pat's passing. We remember Pat at the Lake with his joy in sharing his special recipe for shrimp and in Binghampton as he showed us the town. We treasurer our time together with You and John including our family members in talk and thought until our families kind of blend and Pat became a member of our family as well. We share the grief and send our love!! Ross and Linda

Weizer and John...The memorial service for Patrick was touching and beautiful...from now on, when I hear the song "Fly like an Eagle" by the Steve Miller Band, I will think of Patrick. I never really listened to the words as I did that day at the service. God bless you and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. John, keep Weizer laughing!! Love, Ann

It was my first time ever meeting Patrick. We were at the Glen and it was a miserable weekend, raining nonstop. Of course that wasn't going to stop him from keeping us warm, so he and uncle Steve decided to start the fire. First the kinling, next the logs, the entire pack of paper plates, all the napkins we had...still unable to get the fire started, they decided that dumping a whole box of matches on top would work...NOT, so why not try a second box! Just as the second box of matches thrown on the almost fire went out...there came the truck full of wood. Oh, let there be an end in sight. Not for patrick or his dad. They piled all of the dry wood on and were sure they would get it now. Needless to say about half an hour later someone says "hey look there's a fire started in with the wood"....AT LAST A FIRE!!! Patrick you are loved and will be missed!
