Rev. Shue became a friend to our family soon after coming to Bloomsbury and was with us for many happy times as well as the sad times. He urged me to go to the Methodist Hospital of Brooklyn School of Nursing after I completed high school. While I was there, he drove to Brooklyn to personally break the sad news to me that my Grammy Gardner had died unexpectedly. He then drove me home as we shared many stories about my Grammy and the wonderful person she was. Although he was a large part of our lives as a family, that memory for me will always exemplify his compassionate nature. Thank you, Rev. Shue. My deepest condolences go out to your family.

Our sincere condolences to all of you. Forrest was a special person, who devoted so much of himself to well being of his churchs and his communities. He actually led me into becoming very involved in the church at an age when most of the elders felt I was too you. He was there at the Catholic Church when I got married, as he said to make sure it was done right, and always to be friend and confidante. He married my son Bob and his wife, who had no churching, yet did it with love and grace as he did to many who never belonged to the church. For this he often got criticized, but he was doing his father's business. And he knew what that was.
My prayers go out all of you. May you rest in peace Forrest.
love and hugs and God bless,
Linda Huff Muessig
